Lexi Forringer, Marriage and Family Thearpy Student

“Love is the thread, the common bond we all share; when stretched globally the world will know peace. “

Lexi Forringer is a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student with Liberty University, currently completing her clinical training under the supervision of Brandy Howard, LMFT-S. Lexi provides therapy for children (ages 4+), families, adults (ages 18-40), and couples at a reduced rate. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Comprehensive Special Education from Converse University and has specialty training in supporting children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and learning or intellectual differences.

With a background in education and eight years of experience as the Executive Assistant to the Directors of Healing Solutions, Lexi brings both professionalism and a deeply personal understanding of the therapeutic process. After years of supporting clients and therapists behind the scenes, she discovered her own passion for helping others heal and decided to step fully into the work of therapy herself.

Lexi works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, body image, parenting stress, adoption, premarital preparation, and life transitions. She incorporates Solution-Focused, Client-Centered, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches into her work and believes in warmth with structure; creating a safe, supportive space while helping clients move toward what’s meaningful and lasting. When working with children, she balances therapeutic interventions with parent collaboration, giving families tools that strengthen connection and improve communication at home.

Graduate level therapy means clients receive care from someone who is immersed in current studies, collaborates weekly with licensed supervisors, and is passionate about finding what truly works. Lexi is also trained in integrating Christian faith into therapy for clients who desire it. She attends a local church, has served in children’s ministry and has led youth ministry; and she operates from the belief that all things can be healed and redeemed through grace. She honors each client’s values and goals, allowing their preferences to guide the process.

Outside of work, Lexi enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family usually over a weekend breakfast date or trying new local coffee shops. A mom, wife, and proud dog lover (she has 2 HUGE great danes!), she fills her free time with her family, cheering for the Atlanta Braves, watching college and NFL football over game day food, or catching Greenville Drive games. She’s also a passionate home cook and host who loves exploring new recipes and finding ways to make tasty things more healthy. Lexi’s warmth, curiosity, and heart for people make her an invaluable part of the Healing Solutions team and a trusted support for every client she serves.
