Amanda Isler, LMFT-A

Amanda Isler is an LMFT-A who employs a client-led, Narrative therapy/Solution-Focused approach that is designed to empower and encourage her clients. She values collaborating with clients to rewrite their own stories and empowering them to be the best version of themselves that they want to be. She has worked with clients of all ages, and specializes working with older adults dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, chronic illness, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ issues, and life transitions. Amanda also has over 3 years of experience working with individuals in various stages of recovery from substance abuse/misuse and enjoys working with family members and friends of those dealing with substance abuse/misuse.

Amanda received her BA in Psychology and Philosophy at Converse College and later earned her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse University. Amanda has experience working as a substance abuse counselor/intake counselor at a methadone clinic. Amanda has also worked at EMERGE Family Therapy Center and Teaching Clinic.

When not working, Amanda is known to spend time with her two cats (Dottie and Morrie), exploring new restaurants with her Golden Retriever (Helena) and her husband, and playing video games.
