Amy Christ specializes in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy as well as dialectical behavioral therapy with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Amy is a trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and is working towards completion of ART certification which enables her to work with individuals with trauma history. Amy received her bachelor’s in sociology from Clemson University and her master’s in social work from the University of Alabama. 

She has worked in many different mental health settings including private practice, crisis stabilization of adolescents and adults in a psychiatric hospital, and in an emergency room. While working in the emergency room, Amy assessed children, adolescents, and adults during a psychiatric emergency and helped connect them to the appropriate care and resources for their psychiatric illness. Her passions include working with personality disorders, childhood anxiety, and the LGBTQ+ community. 

When Amy is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, young son, dog, and 3 cats. They are often found playing cards or board games at home or at one of the Disney parks on vacation. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and planning her next Disney trip.
