Casey Kimbrell, LISW-CP
“Working hard is important. But there’s something that matters even more. Believing in yourself.”
- J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter)
I am a Clinical Licensed Social Worker (LISW-CP) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of South Carolina. I graduated from USC Upstate with my Bachelor's in Psychology and minor in Child Advocacy Studies. I graduated from University of South Carolina with my Masters in Social Work and certificate in drug and alcohol studies. I specialize in trauma, relationships, domestic violence, attachment, addiction, and codependency. Additionally, I have great experience working with mood and personality disorders. My preferred treatment modalities are attachment-based, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, client-centered, strength-based, and narrative therapy.
I have worked as a programs coordinator for trauma and domestic violence programs, an alcohol and drug counselor, a trauma therapist, in crisis stabilization of adolescents and adults in a psychiatric hospital, and with survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. I am passionate about being a safe place for individuals to explore their stories and to be a stepping stone in their healing journey.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and my cat. In addition, I love getting a good coffee and mindlessly strolling through stores; traveling; trying new recipes; and having lazy days at home!
